Le BoulouBettembourg

The Lorry-Rail rail motorway has been in operation since 2007 and connects Le Boulou (France-Spain border) to Bettembourg (Luxembourg), with 3 daily roundtrips. This service offers a direct link across France daily, including weekends, public holidays, and school holidays.

The trains on this line are among the longest in Europe, measuring upto 850 m in length, and can carry up to 2,300 tonnes. The line saves up to 62,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.

Our partners for this service are the Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL). Luxembourg invested 200 million euros in the new Bettembourg-Dudelange terminal which will enable the transfer of 600,000 semi-trailers and containers per year. This infrastructure gives you the possibility to reach terminals in Eastern and Northern Europe using the connections offered by our partners.
